Hyde Park sales rise on ‘Sun,’ Leonard project

Europe, Asia, South America deals close

Ashok Amritraj’s Hyde Park International has closed several major territories on “Midnight Sun” and the untitled Elmore Leonard project at Cannes.

Family pic “Midnight Sun” from Hugh Hudson sold to Medusa for Italy, Alliance Atlantis for Canada, Pa-dora for Eastern Europe and Lumix for South Korea.

The Elmore Leonard project stars Jennifer Aniston and Dennis Quaid and is directed by Daniel Schechter, who also adapted the screenplay from the Leonard book “The Switch.” Project sold to Arum in Spain, multiple territories with Italia, all of Eastern Europe with Pa-Dora, Swen in Latin America and Top Film in the CIS/Russian territories.

Hyde Park also screened promos for the comedy “Adult World,” starring Emma Roberts, Evan Peters and John Cusack, and “Sunlight Jr.,” starring Naomi Watts, Matt Dillon and Norman Reedus, which sold to multiple territories.

Hyde Park also closed sales on all of their titles in Portugal, the Middle East, Turkey, Latin America and South Asia.
