Eclectic selections at this year’s SXSW run the gamut from art docs to off-the-wall comedies

“The Babymakers”
New feature from comic Jay Chandrasekhar (“Super Troopers”) stars Paul Schneider and Olivia Munn as a married couple plotting to rob a sperm bank.

“Beauty is Embarrassing”
Neil Berkeley-helmed doc focuses on cartoonist and “Pee Wee’s Playhouse” set designer Wayne White.

“The Cabin in the Woods”
Co-written by Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard, this genre-bending chiller plays with a time-proven premise: five friends in a remote cabin.

“Crazy Eyes”
Lukas Haas stars in this story of an alcoholic struggling with broken relationships and a disintegrating family.

“The Do-Deca Pentathlon”
Shot before writer-directors Jay and Mark Duplass went the studio route, this comedy features grown brothers competing in a homemade Olympics.

“Eden”
Inspired by a true story, Megan Griffiths’ third feature follows Hyun Jae (Jamie Chung) as she is smuggled into Las Vegas and imprisoned as a sex slave.

Fat Kid Rules the World
“Terri’s” Jake Wysocki plays a suicidal teenager who forms a friendship with a dropout street musician in Matthew Lillard’s directorial debut.

“Girls”
The fest will screen the first three episodes of the new HBO series created by and starring SXSW vet Lena Dunham (“Tiny Furniture”).

“Nature Calls”
In the latest from Todd Rohal (“The Catechism Cataclysm”), Patton Oswalt plays an assistant scoutmaster trying to convince random kids to join his troop for a trip.

“Small Apartments”
Matt Lucas, Billy Crystal and Juno Temple star in off-beat comedy about the consequences of a tenant accidentally killing his landlord.

“Tchoupitoulas”
Doc explores a night in New Orleans. Helmers Bill and Turner Ross won a 2009 SXSW grand jury prize for doc “45365.”

“21 Jump Street”
Sony’s adaptation of the ’80s skein stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as youngish cops assigned to go undercover at a local high school.
