Horizon likes ‘Fred & Vinnie’

Kino Lorber shingle gets North American rights to Steve Skrovan's comedy

Kino Lorber’s Horizon Movies has acquired all North American rights to Steve Skrovan’s comedy “Fred & Vinnie.”

The film will make its debut on DVD, VOD and digital platforms on Dec. 18. “Fred” has been shown at numerous festivals and won the audience award at the Austin Film Festival.

The film tells the story of Fred Stoller, who is thrilled when his good buddy Vinnie (Angelo Tsarouchas), comes to live with him. Not long after, Fred discovers that Vinnie proves to be the world’s most maddening roommate.

Cast includes Scott Chernoff, Bill Rutkowski, John Asher and a special appearance by Fred Willard.

Deal was negotiated between Kino Lorber’s Eric D. Wilkinson and Noor Ahmed of Reder & Feig on behalf of film’s producers.
