Indie digital distrib plans 2012 release on all VOD platforms

GoDigital has closed a deal to release four Shorline Entertainment titles on its VOD platforms, which the independent digital distrib plans to unspool this year.

Titles include docu “Fat Belly”; Serbian sci-fi animation pic “Technotise: Edit & I”; horror-thriller “Cannibal” and stop-motion toon “Edison & Leo,” which premiered at Toronto.

“As we are going through this digital revolution it is important to work with companies I can trust and will handle our films in a first-class manner,” said Shoreline sales veep Brian Sweet. “Without a doubt, GoDigital is such a company.”

GoDigital, which has an output arrangement with Lionsgate and direct deals with major digital distribs like iTunes, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Playstation and Dish, has been in active acquisitions mode this year, securing all on-demand rights to Latin Anywhere’s 1,000-title strong Spanish-language library, a digital distribution pact with Adopt Films and the acquisition of Might Entertainment.
