Deal marks first digital distrib of Spanish-language pics
GoDigital has secured all on-demand rights to the Spanish-language film library of Latin Anywhere, making most of its 1,000-plus titles available on digital platforms for the first time.
Deal gives the upstart digital distributor all VOD, electronic sell-thru and pay-per-view rights to more than 600 films in the U.S., and upwards of 200 films internationally.
“The Hispanic demographic in the United States is growing four times faster than the overall population and boasts over $1 trillion in buying power,” said GoDigital CEO Logan Mulvey. “We know that having this library of films will ensure that we stay current with the desires of domestic and international audiences.”
Titles include comedies, action/adventure, drama and Mexican rodeo.
GoDigital, which has an output arrangement with Lionsgate and direct deals with several major digital distribs like iTunes, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Playstation and Dish, has been aggressively pursuing content deals of late, including a digital distribution pact with Adopt Films last month and the acquisition of Might Entertainment earlier this year.
