Viacom/CBS topper honored for his efforts to aid needy children
The Go Campaign will honor Viacom and CBS chairman Sumner Redstone for his philanthropic efforts to aid children around the world at its fifth Go Go Gala, set for today at Montage Beverly Hills.
Redstone has donated $250,000 to the Go Campaign, which funds projects in 21 countries with a focus on helping orphans and other needy children.
Redstone will be presented with a special gift from Siem Reap, Cambodia, the location of two schools for disadvantaged children built with Mr. Redstone’s $100,000 contribution at last year’s gala. Redstone recently donated another $150,000 to campaign.
Cheryl Hines and Ewan McGregor are among the thesps expected to attend the event.
