Will Smith's banner boosts onetime assistant to VP of creative affairs

Overbrook Entertainment has promoted Gary Glushon to VP of creative affairs.

Glushon has worked at Overbrook, operated by Will Smith, James Lassiter and Ken Stovitz, for seven years. He began at the banner as an assistant to Lassiter before becoming a creative exec.

During his tenure at Sony-based Overbrook, Glushon has worked on “The Karate Kid” and its sequel. He’s also overseeing an English-lanaguage remake of the Spanish comedy “Ghost Graduation.”
