Kathleen Turner was the focus on film and in person at a GLAAD and LGBT Community Center-hosted screening of “The Perfect Family” May 1 in Greenwich Village.
Asked how she prepared for the role of Eileen Cleary, a nominee for Catholic Woman of the Year, Turner quipped, “With a very bad wig!”
The thesp added, “It’s crazy! Suddenly after 35 years, I’ve got two Catholics!” referring to her recent Broadway stint playing a foul-mouthed nun in “High.”
Turner is eager for her next hellraiser: Texas columnist Molly Ivins, in a one-woman show. “I’m taking Molly to Washington’s Arena Stage before the election!” she vowed.
