Galano in Berlin with new sales org

Speranza13 debuts with 'Romeo and Juliet'

Former New Line Intl. and Warner Bros. Intl. film acquisitions prexy Camela Galano has arrived at the Berlinale this year with a new international sales and financing outfit, Speranza13 Media.

The shingle already boasts two pics on its slate for the interantional market, Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego’s “Open Grave” and Julian Fellowes-penned “Romeo and Juliet.” “Open Grave” is produced by Atlas Independent, a division of Charles Roven’s Atlas Entertainment.

Story follows the tale of six people who wake with amnesia-like symptoms in a remote forest next to an open grave of rotting bodies.

William Green and Aaron Ginsburg will produce with exec producer Alan Grazer.

Pic, penned by Eddie and Chris Borey, is skedded to lense in April 2012.

“Romeo and Juliet,” helmed by Carlo Carlei, toplines Hailee Steinfeld, Douglas Booth, Paul Giamatti, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Ed Westwick.

Pic is lensing in Italy and is produced by Fellowes, Ileen Maisel and Lawrence Elman of Amber Entertainment.
