FX’s ‘The Americans’ to preem at Mipcom

Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys to attend TV mart

BIARRITZ, France — “The Americans,” FX’s drama series toplining Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys as KGB spies masquerading as a married American couple in the 1980s, will world premiere on the opening night of the Mipcom TV market in Cannes.

The screening of the first episode will be followed by a Q&A with Russell, Rhys, Fox Television Studios prexy David Madden and Eric Schrier, FX’s series development head and FX Prods.’ exec VP.

Mipcom will host red carpet arrivals and the opening night party attended by stars and production execs of “The Americans.”

Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution reps the series in international markets.

The show is due to air on FX in early 2013.

Mipcom runs Oct. 8-11.
