Frances Fisher is set to star in Catherine Hardwicke’s “Plush” alongside Emily Browning, Cam Gigandet and Xavier Samuel.
Story follows a rising rock star (Browning) who finds herself in a spiral after losing her band mate and brother to a drug overdose. A married mother of two children, she finds new friendship and inspiration in a replacement guitarist (Samuel) — who she comes to realize may be a madman.
Fisher will play Browning’s new nanny.
Hardwicke, who’s also producing, will helm from a script she co-wrote with Artie Nelson. Jason Blum is producing for Blumhouse Prods. along with Sherryl Clark of Busted Shark and Stuart Ford of IM Global, which is selling distribution rights.
Fisher has several films that will bow soon including “The Congress” starring Robin Wright. The deal was brokered by Michael Greene & Associates and Sanders Armstrong Caserta Management.
