Focus shifts ‘Anna Karenina’ to Nov. 16

Epic romance starring Keira Knightley had been set for Nov. 9

Focus Features has moved back its limited domestic launch of Joe Wright’s “Anna Karenina” to Nov. 16 from Nov. 9.

The Working Title Films production stars Keira Knightley, Jude Law, Aaron Johnson, Kelly Macdonald, Emily Watson, Matthew Macfadyen, Olivia Williams, Domhnall Gleeson, Alicia Vikander and Ruth Wilson. Tom Stoppard (“Shakespeare in Love”) adapted Leo Tolstoy’s epic romance.

Anna Karenina” will open against Sony Pictures Classics’ launch of “Rust and Bone” along with wide releases of Lionsgate’s “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2” and CBS Films’ “Seven Psychopaths” along with Disney’s expansion of “Lincoln.”
