Finishing first on the fifth

IM Global celebrates anni with Cinco de Mayo cocktail reception

IM Global decided to take its fifth anniversary seriously — with a Cinco de Mayo cocktail reception at 5 p.m. on the fifth day of the fifth month at the Little Door in WeHo.

IM Global topper Stuart Ford feted guests a few days before the company sets up operations at the Cannes Film Festival. Spokeswoman Bonnie Voland offered a congratulatory speech that included 47 IM Global titles.

” ‘Jesus Henry Christ,’ we have had an interesting ‘Transit’ over the last six years and you have built an ‘Elite Squad’ against the side of our business that would sometimes prefer to put ‘A Bullet to the Head’ or say ‘Everything Must Go’ or pit ‘Maschi Contro Femmine’ or ‘Femmine Contro Maschi’ thinking that’s the only way to get the job done,” she said. “To those people, I say ‘Welcome to the Punch,’ and I’ll tell ‘Don 2’ or ‘The Bodyguard’ to ‘Bitch Slap’ them or take care of them with some ‘Happytime Murders’ because they don’t realize that you don’t have to be ‘Sinister’ to succeed in this business. You are proof that nice guys finish first.”
