The Film Music Festival in Krakow, running May 24-26, has solidified its lineup by adding Elliot Goldenthal to the closing-night program. The Oscar-winning composer’s music will be performed by the Polish Orchestra Sinfonietta Cracovia conducted by composer Diego Navarro.
Goldenthal’s scores from such films as “Alien 3,” “Interview with the Vampire,” “Batman Forever” and his collaborations with director Julie Taymor — “Frida” and “Titus” — will be featured. Taymor and Goldenthal will also participate in a panel during the fest.
Now in its fifth year, the fest kicks off with a concert from the film “Perfume: The Story of a Murderer,” with the film’s director and co-composer Tom Tykwer, among others, in attendance. Oscar-winning tunesmiths Howard Shore and Tan Dun have been past guests at the fest.
