Cima Prods. (“Filly Brown”) has optioned feature rights to the story of Zeenat Ali, who received national attention over her battle with Deutsche Bank over the foreclosure of her family’s home.

Ali, a 23 year-old Pakistani immigrant without any prior legal training, represented her family in a lawsuit to prevent the foreclosure.

The project will be written and directed by “Filly Brown” writer/co-director, Youssef Delara, and produced by Cima Productions partners Amir Delara and Victor Teran.

“Filly Brown,” which screened at Sundance, is set for theatrical release in the first quarter by Indomina Releasing. Cima’s most recent project, “Snap,” is in post-production.
