Contest calls for submissions of 15-min, story-driven videos

Michael Fassbender has joined the Your Film Festival competition team to help select the grand prize winner and to co-exec produce the winner’s next film.

The competition is a previously announced partnership between YouTube, Emirates Airlines, the Venice Film Festival and Scott Free, Ridley and Tony Scott’s production banner. The contest, which remains open until March 31, calls for submissions of 15-minute, story-driven videos. Fifty semi-finalists will be selected; YouTube users will then choose 10 finalists, who will travel to the Venice Film Festival, where their videos will screen and a grand prize winner will be named.

Fassbender will be seen next in Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus.” He won best actor at Venice last year for “Shame.”
