‘Family,’ ’30 Rock’ lead TV in Comedy Awards

'Bridesmaids,' 'Crazy' are top noms in film categories

“Modern Family” and “30 Rock” leads the TV charge while “Bridesmaids” and “Crazy, Stupid, Love” are the top nominees in the film categories for Comedy Central’s second annual Comedy Awards.

Comedian Louis C.K. was the most nommed individual, taking bids for TV actor, TV special and standup tour.

Kudos will be taped April 28 in Gotham and aired on the cabler May 6.

For top TV laffer, nominees besides “Modern Family” and “30 Rock” are “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Parks and Recreation” and “Happy Endings.” In addition to “Bridesmaids” and “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” bigscreen nominees are “Midnight in Paris,” “Horrible Bosses” and Oscar winner “The Artist.”

Nominees are selected by an eclectic board of directors with 30-plus members including sitcom director James Burrows, standup performers and actors Ray Romano and Chris Rock, as well as Laugh Factory nightclub owner Jamie Masada.

Last year’s two-hour inaugural telecast drew 1.4 million viewers.
