Kate Hudson is in talks to star in Peter Capaldi's romantic comedy

Ewan McGregor will star in Peter Capaldi’s romantic comedy “Born to be King” for Indomina Releasing.

Capaldi will direct from his original screenplay.

Kate Hudson is in negotiations to star opposite McGregor.

Alexandra Stone and Dan Lupovitz will produce and Ron Fogelman and William Parente will exec produce. Elaine Collins will co-produce.

“Born to be KIng” centers on an extra (McGregor) who has an uncanny resemblance to a movie actor, and a Hollywood starlet (Hudson) who’s at war with her co-star.

Film will shoot in January at Pinewood Studios in the U.K.

Indomina Releasing will handle worldwide sales rights to the film and will begin shopping to buyers at the American Film Market.

Stephanie Denton and Indomina’s Rob Williams negotiated the deal with Lupovitz and Stone. Denton will lead the sales efforts on behalf of Indomina.
