PARIS — Entertainment One and European mini-major Wild Bunch have inked a multi-year distribution pact for France.
Wild Bunch subsid Wild Side will handle home video and digital distribution for films and TV series starting June 1. It will also handle TV rights for eOne features, while eOne Television Intl. will keep TV rights to all other content.
The first homevid titles to be released under the pact are the first season of “Call Me Fitz,” skedded for June, and season two of “The Walking Dead,” which is set for a July release.
It’s Wild Side’s first distribution deal with an international company. Launched 10 years ago, Wild Side boasts a catalog of more than 500 titles, for which Wild Side handled the TV, homevid and digital rights, as well as theatrical distribution rights in association with Le Pacte.
Patrice Theroux, prexy of filmed entertainment at eOne, said: “As eOne continues to grow in Europe and across the globe, we remain committed to maximizing rights ownership and looking for new opportunities to exploit our content on a multi-territory and multi-platform basis.”
Theroux also suggested eOne could work with Wild Bunch on the theatrical distribution of its films.
