eOne has set a co-distribution agreement in the U.S. with RKO Pictures for drama “A Late Quartet” with plans for a fall release.
Deal was announced Wednesday at Cannes and covers all media rights for the U.S. excluding VOD and DVD.
Pic is Yaron Zilberman’s narrative film debut and stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, Catherine Keener and Christopher Walken. The story follows four members of a world-renowned string quartet who struggle to stay together on the eve of their 25th season.
The deal is part of eOne’s expansion of its North American operations, announced last August.
The transaction was brokered by David Reckziegel, Richard Rapkowski and Dylan Wiley for eOne, and Andrew Matthews and Suzanne Rosencrans for RKO.
