Embry joins indie ‘Cheap Thrills’

Thesp set to portray lowlife character

Ethan Embry is set to star opposite David Koechner in the indie actioner “Cheap Thrills.”

“Thrills” is produced by Gabriel Cowan, Travis Stevens and John Suit, and directed by E.L. Katz from a script by David Chirchirillo and Trent Haaga.

The film follows a wealthy but morally depraved couple who pick up a few cash-strapped guys at a dive-bar, hoping for a fun-filled evening of cheap thrills. Embry will portray a lowlife with zero moral compunction, who happily participates in a lively game of high stakes challenges.

Pat Healy and Sara Paxton also star.

Embry’s credits include the Showtime series “Brotherhood” and upcoming feature roles in “Insecurity,” “The House Across the Street” and “Desert Storm.”

Embry is repped by APA, Thruline Entertainment and Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern.
