Ed Asner is set to star opposite Paul Ben-Victor and Carol Kane in the indie “Should’ve Been Romeo.”
Marc Bennett will direct with Gregory Segal producing for Phillybrook Films. Story follows a middle-aged potato chip company pitchman who loses his job just as his grandfather is dropped on his doorstep by his mother on her way to a singles cruise. Asner has also recently joined the cast of the Hallmark telepic “Two In” and had a guest spot on CBS’s “Hawaii Five-O.” He is repped by Greene & Associates Talent Agency, CCA Management and Oscars Abrams Zimmel and Associates.
