Dreyfuss, Masterson set for ‘Winston Jones’

Dark indie comedy is first feature for RadioactiveGiant

Richard Dreyfuss, Danny Masterson, Danny Glover and Jon Heder have come onboard to star in dark indie comedy “Killing Winston Jones.”

RadioactiveGiant’s Albert Sandoval and Daemon Hillin are producing the feature, the first for the production-distribution company. Tom Somerset and Peter Winther exec produce.

Joel David Moore, known for his performances in “Avatar” and the TV series “Bones,” will direct from Justin T. Winters’ script. Filming will start Monday in Savannah, Ga.

Story centers on a sixth-grade English teacher (played by Masterson) who’s on a mission to get the newly constructed junior high gymnasium named after his father (Dreyfuss) despite the fact that the person so memorialized must be dead — leading to a bitter contest over the naming rights with his old rival (Glover).

RadioactiveGiant is planing to release the movie theatrically and across multiple platforms worldwide.
