Drag-race pic ‘Snake and Mongoose’ casts leads

'Grey's' alum Jesse Williams playing Don Prudhomme

“Grey’s Anatomy” actor Jesse Williams and Richard Blake are set to topline “Snake and Mongoose,” the indie biopic based on the true story of drag racing legends Don “the Snake” Prudhomme and Tom “Mongoose” McEwen.

Wayne Holloway will direct from a script he penned with Alan Paradise. Pic follows the longtime friendship and rivalry between Prudhomme (Williams) and Blake (McEwen).

Stephen Nemeth, who recently produced the top-selling Sundance pic “The Surrogate,” will produce along with Robin Broidy through Nemeth’s Rhino Films and Broidy’s Entertainment Universe, which will also finance the pic. Prudhomme and McEwen will serve as exec producers along with Paradise. Williams is set to co-produce.

The filmmakers have also partnered with the National Hot Rod Association, which will help with marketing.

Williams is repped by WME and Management 360, Blake by Pakula/King and Schumacher Management.
