CANNES — DLT Entertainment has launched a new distribution company with upstart Raydar Media, a content management and creation company set up by international TV exec Alison Rayson.
The joint venture, DLT/Raydar Rights LLP, will handle distribution of finished show and formats across all genres. It will be the exclusive worldwide distributor for Raydar Media and third-party producers, and function as DLT’s sales company for the world, excluding the U.S. and the U.K. In the U.S., DLT will handle all finished programs flowing through DLT/Raydar Rights, plus its own fare. U.S. format exploitation of DLT/Raydar properties will be jointly handled by DLT and Raydar. DLT, run by Don Taffner Jnr., is a well-known sales company and producer having scored with such high-profile U.K. comedies as “My Family” and “Miranda.” Last year, Rayson stepped down as the head of Target Entertainment after 13 years with the company she founded.DLT, Raydar launch distribution j.v.
