Derek Luke reports to ‘Baggage Claim’

Derek Luke is set to star opposite Paula Patton in Fox Searchlight’s “Baggage Claim.”

David Talbert, who penned the original novel, will helm from a script he wrote and is also producing.

Pic follows a flight attendant (Patton) who is the oldest unmarried woman in her family. With her sister about to get hitched, she becomes determined to find a man in 30 days. Luke plays her long-time friend and neighbor.

The WME and Greenlight Management repped Luke can be seen next in Screen Gems “Sparkle.”
