Swedish producer Helena Danielsson will receive European co-production award, the Prix Eurimages, at the European Film Awards in Malta on Dec. 1.
Danielsson established Hepp Film in 2003 following a 15-year career in the Scandinavian and European film industry. The company develops and makes features, TV dramas and documentaries as international co-productions with top European talent.
Danielsson’s productions include Pernilla August’s Venice 2010 Critics’ Week winner “Beyond”; “Neon Flesh,” by Paco Cabezas; Oleg Novkovic’s “White White World”; Clive Gordon’s “Cargo,” Joergen Bergmark’s “A Rational Solution,” and Simone Aaberg Kaern and Magnus Bejmar’s documentary “Smiling in a Warzone.”
“It’s a great honor for me to receive this award, and also an invaluable affirmation for the philosophy and passion for international co-productions that are the guiding lights in my life as a producer. My love of film and this award give me further energy to continue developing new projects alongside the amazing talent that’s out there in Europe,” said Danielsson.
Danielsson continues to work with Hepp Film and has also joined Stockholm-based Tre Vanner Prods., which produced the Daniel Espinosa hit “Easy Money,” starring Joel Kinnaman.
