Digital cinema aggregator Cinedigm has tapped Dan Sherlock as prexy of Cinedigm Software, a division of the company that provides digital software systems to exhibitors and distributors.
In charge of all operations for Cinedigm Software, Sherlock will report to Cinedigm COO-CFO Adam Mizel.
Prior to joining Cinedigm, Sherlock was prexy of film and TV database Baseline; he also held several executive positions at Disney and served as VP-general manager of Movies.com.
“With both technical and marketing expertise, Dan is perfectly suited to lead and grow our robust software business,” Mizel said.
Previously known as Hollywood Software, Cinedigm’s fledgling software group has made several other high-level hires including Larry McCourt and Rob Springer, who head software-sales marketing and distributor solutions, respectively.
