Cutting Edge ups Moross

Exec named senior VP of business development

The Cutting Edge Group, which invested in half a dozen pics at the Toronto Film Fest, has promoted Tara Moross to senior VP of business development.

Moross is also an exec producer and helped arrange production financing on “Song for Marion,” the closing night film. CEG invested in TIFF’s opening night film “Looper,” and showcase pics “End of Watch,” “Seven Psychopaths,” “Imogene” and “Writers.”

Prior to joining CEG, Moross worked in the motion picture literary department at what is now ICM Partners.

CEG has invested in more than 200 films, including “The King’s Speech.”
