CMG takes international on ‘Eden’

Cinema Management Group to screen pic at Cannes

Cinema Management Group has acquired international distribution rights to sex-trafficking drama “Eden.”

Pic won the audience award at the SXSW Film Festival, and Jamie Chung, who starred in the title role, took the special jury award for best performance.

Beau Bridges and Matt O’Leary co-star in “Eden,” directed by Megan Griffiths and written by Griffiths and Richard B. Phillips. Story is by Phillips and Chong Kim, the human trafficking survivor about whom the film is based.

“Eden” was produced by Colin Harper Plank and Jacob Mosler.

John Sloss of Cinetic Media is currently fielding offers for the North American distribution rights.

CMG will be screening “Eden” at Cannes on May 17 followed by a reception for buyers to meet Chong Kim and Plank.
