Clint Eastwood will be joined by a familiar face in Robert Lorenz’s directorial debut “Trouble With the Curve,” as his son, Scott Eastwood, has been cast in Warner Bros.’ baseball pic.
Elder thesp stars as a baseball scout with vision problems who takes a road trip to Atlanta with his daughter (Amy Adams) to take a look at a hot prospect.
The younger Eastwood, who had to audition for the part, will play Billy Clark, a slumping minor league player who the protag discovered and still has faith in.
Justin Timberlake and John Goodman co-star in the Randy Brown-scripted film, which Clint Eastwood and Lorenz will produce through their Malpaso banner. Michele Weissler will also be involved in a producer capacity.
Scott Eastwood, who has appeared in three of his father’s films — “Flags of Our Fathers,” “Gran Torino” and “Invictus,” recently wrapped Curtis Hanson’s surfing pic “Of Men and Mavericks,” as well as Lionsgate’s horror film “Leatherface 3D.”
