Cilenti joins ‘Kick-Ass’ gang for sequel

Brit thesp Enzo Cilenti (“The Rum Diary”) has joined the cast of Universal Pictures’ “Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall.”

Jeff Wadlow is directing the sequel, which original helmer Matthew Vaughn is producing with Tarquin Pack.

Stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse are all returning to reprise their roles, while newcomers include Jim Carrey and John Leguizamo. Cilenti will share scenes with Leguizamo, playing his sidekick.

Cilenti, repped by Inspire Entertainment and Independent Talent in the U.K., has had supporting roles in GK Films’ Johnny Depp pic “The Rum Diary” and Armando Iannucci’s “In the Loop,” as well as the Milla Jovovich thriller “The Fourth Kind.”
