Christine Lahti forms ‘Hateship, Friendship’

Joins Kristen Wiig, Hailee Steinfeld in ensemble comedy

Christine Lahti has joined the ensemble comedy “Hateship, Friendship” starring Kristen Wiig and Hailee Steinfeld.

Pic also stars Nick Nolte and Guy Pearce with Liza Johnson helming.

Lahti plays Nolte’s love interest in the movie based on short stories collection “Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage” by Alice Munro, which follows a nanny hired to care of a rebel teenage girl.

Benaroya Pictures will finance the project with The Weinstein Company selling international rights.

Dylan Sellers, Robert Ogden Barnum, Jamin O’Brien, Michael Benaroya and Cassian Elwes are producing. Mark Poirier wrote the script.

The ICM and Management 360 repped Lahti can currently be seen on the CBS skein “Hawaii Five-0” and just wrapped shooting the indie “Truck Stop” opposite Juno Temple.
