Director Jeff Tomsic in talks for untitled adventure project

Chernin Entertainment is in negotiations with commercial and short film director Jeff Tomsic to helm an untitled baby adventure movie.

Pic, written in turns by comedy scribes Katie Dippold and Marc Hyman, centers around babies who try to break out of a daycare center.

Tomsic’s credits include a number of short films, including “Underpassed” and “I’m Having a Difficult Time Killing My Parents,” the latter of which he co-wrote with comedian T.J. Miller. Short later preemed at the 2011 Sundance film fest.

Multihyphenate has also helmed a number of commercial campaigns, as well as television shows for VH1 and MTV including “Pete and Brian Have Fun.”

In November, the 20th Century Fox-based Chernin acquired an untitled foreign exchange comedy pitch from scribe Shawn Harwell with Tomsic attached to direct.

Dippold, a writer and producer on “Parks and Recreation,” most recently sold an untitled female buddy cop script to Chernin.
