Hollywood org looks to further outreach to biz community
In an effort to further reach the creative community, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has tapped Variety as its exclusive media partner.Chamber president-CEO Leron Gubler said the deal with Variety will give the org greater visibility than it had previously, with the group’s Walk of Fame and other Hollywood events. Also, working with the industry’s only daily trade paper “will highlight our advocacy efforts on behalf of the entertainment industry,” Gubler said. Variety publisher Brian Gott said, “We’re looking forward to further elevating the brand and profile of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and highlighting all of the great work the Chamber does for the Hollywood community and the entertainment industry at large.” The Chamber oversees the administration of the Hollywood sign and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In addition to exclusive access and coverage of the org’s ceremonies, Variety will sponsor all of the Chamber’s annual events and conferences, including the Hollywood Expo and the Hollywood CofC Entertainment Summit slated for Nov. 16.
