CBS drops ‘Glass House’ grievance

Signals it may yet pursue legal action against ABC

Referencing the less-than-stellar ratings for ABC’s “Glass House,” CBS has dropped its request for injunctive relief against the show, without ruling out the chance for further legal action for copyright infringement.

In rather tart language, CBS issued a statement Friday morning saying that the network would still seek to address its contract and trade-secrets claims in arbitration.

“The viewers have spoken and delivered the ultimate form of justice against ‘The Glass House,'” the release read.

CBS originally filed to halt the show’s airing, claiming former producers for the network’s “Big Brother” series had appropriated copyrighted information for “House.” CBS lost its request for a temporary restraining order last month.
