Armie Hammer, Ben Kingsley, John Malkovich, Michael Sheen to star

Armie Hammer, Ben Kingsley, John Malkovich, Michael Sheen and Teresa Palmer are set to lead an ensemble cast for the indie “Cut Bank.”

Matt Shankman will make his helming debut off of Robert Patino’s script, which was on the 2009 Black List.

Story is set in Cut Bank, Mont., and follows an auto mechanic and former football player who wants to get out of a town that is frozen in time.

Edward Zwick, Mickey Barold and Dan Cohen will produce. Laura Rister will exec produce and co-rep the domestic rights for WME Global Finance and Distribution.

eOne will rep international rights, which it will begin shopping in Cannes.

Hammer is currently filming Disney’s “Lone Ranger.” Kingsley can be seen next in Paramount’s “The Dictator.”

Hammer is repped by WME. Kingsley is repped by CAA and Independent Talent Group and Malkovich is repped by Principato/Young. Sheen is repped by ICM and Palmer is repped by WME and Management 360.
