Ashton-Griffiths, Lindsay, Somerville join cast
Brit thesps Roger Ashton-Griffiths and Robert Lindsay, and Irish actress Geraldine Somerville have joined the cast of Olivier Dahan’s “Grace of Monaco,” which Pierre-Ange Le Pogam is producing with Uday Chopra of YRF Entertainment and scribe Arash Amel.
Nicole Kidman stars as Grace Kelly. Ashton-Griffiths will play Alfred Hitchcock, who worked with Kelly on “Dial M for Murder,” “Rear Window” and “To Catch a Thief” and tries to get her to come out of retirement to star in his new movie.
Lindsay will play Aristotle Onassis, the larger-than-life Greek businessman whose girlfriend, renowned opera singer Maria Callas (Paz Vega), was a close confidante of Kelly’s. Lindsay previously played Onassis on the London stage.
Somerville will play Princess Antoinette, Prince Rainier’s older sister who was banished from the palace for attempting to take over the throne with France’s help.
