Cast gets ‘Excited’

Indie comedy to lense next month

Indie romantic comedy “Don’t Get Excited” is set to begin production this fall with a cast that includes Caterina Murino (“Casino Royale”), Sean Mahon (“The Seafarer” on Broadway) and Sal Richards.

Foad Faridzadeh directs a screenplay by Ira Zankel and Aaron Godfred. The writers also produce the pic with Scott Prisand (“Rock of Ages,” “Hesher”), who has been on the producing team of Broadway shows including “Rock of Ages” and “Legally Blonde.”

Storyline centers on a guy (Mahon) who’s misdiagnosed with a deadly heart condition and embarks on a romance with an Italian woman (Murino) who’s being pursued by a neighborhood bookie.

Pic starts shooting in September in Gotham and on Long Island.
