Women's Impact Report 2012: Lawyers

Hunt has spent 2012 finding creative ways to finance more than $850 million worth of projects including the Jennifer Lopez-Marc Anthony talent hunt series “Q’Viva,” the Arnold Schwarzenegger-Sylvester Stallone actioner “The Tomb,” Liam Hemsworth starrer “Empire State,” “Tyler Perry’s The Marriage Counselor” and Spike Lee’s remake of “Oldboy,” which utilized financing of L.A. and N.Y. tax credits.

Her expertise helped guide One West Bank in its financing of Toronto Midnight Madness buzz pic “Aftershock” in Chile.

Inside scoop: “(Entertainment law is) actually a very small community. I probably close 50, 60 projects a year. But I’d say it’s very rare I don’t know almost everyone on the transaction.”

Words of wisdom: “Always act professional, always act nice. I guarantee anyone you’re on a deal with you’re going to see over and over and over.”

Smartphone on vacation?: “I do (take it). And my laptop. And a lot of work, usually.”

Work week: “It’s hard to say what’s work and what’s not because a lot of my clients are my friends.”

Life-work balance: “It’s largely just being very organized. I also have somewhat of an advantage in that my husband (Film Finance’s Gregory Trattner) is in the same industry.”

Charitable passions: “I’m on the board of a charity called Hammer with the Hammer Museum. Artists come and do art projects with children, celebrities do reading for children. All of the funding goes to kids programming at the museum.”
