Thesp joins Canadian French-language pic to be helmed by Xavier Dolan

Caleb Landry Jones has signed on to join the cast of the Canadian French-language film “Tom a la ferme.”

Pic also stars Xavier Dolan, who will also direct.

Story center on Tom, who is in the grip of grief following the death of his lover. When he meets the family of the deceased, he learns the mother was not aware of her son’s sexual orientation or of his relationship with Tom.

Dolan also co-wrote the script with Michel Marc Bouchard and also rewrote an English-speaking part for Landry Jones.

Dolan, Charles Gillibert and Nathanael Karmitz will produce, with production set to get under way in Montreal within days.

The Paradigm- and Untitled Entertainment-repped Landry Jones was most recently seen in “Antiviral,” which bowed at Cannes and screened at Toronto, and “Byzantium,” which premiered at Toronto. He is also expected to shoot John Boorman’s “Queen and Country,” which will begin production in 2013.
