Tenpercentary to expand brand into film, TV, tours and sponsorships

CAA has inked public radio show “Radiolab.”

Produced by New York’s WNYC, “Radiolab” blends science and storytelling with co-hosts Jad Abumrad and Robert Krulwich delve into philosophy, history and culture. Program draws a million listeners on more than 375 public radio stations and more than two million downloads per month, ranking it in iTune’s top ten podcasts.

CAA will work to expand Radiolab’s brand with upcoming film and television projects as well as tours and sponsorships.

Abumrad earned a MacArthur Genius grant for his Radiolab work last year.

Comedian Demetri Martin and dance troupe Pilobolus are currently on tour with Radiolob for its live show, “Radiolab Live: In the Dark.”

CAA’s pursuit of “Radiolab” is another sign of tenpercenteries pursuing unconventional clients with potential to generate intellectual property. UTA reps Ira Glass, the host of nationally syndicated radio show “This American Life,” while ICM reps the New York Times on film and television adaptations of its articles.
