Bumble Ward ankles Fox publicity post

Exec veep was on job 14 months

After nearly 14 months on the job, Bumble Ward has ankled her post as exec VP of publicity at Twentieth Century Fox’s domestic theatrical marketing department.

Ward joined the studio last August and was tasked with overseeing all aspects of the studio’s domestic publicity campaign. She signed a two-year contract when she replaced Carol Sewell, who exited the position in May 2011.

Ward was involved in the campaigns for Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus,” Josh Trank’s sleeper hit “Chronicle” and Ang Lee’s upcoming drama “Life of Pi.” She left the studio Monday to pursue other opportunities including creative writing.

Ward previously ran her own entertainment public relations, marketing and communications firm, Bumble Ward & Associates, which she closed in 2005 to pursue interests in writing and social media marketing. Prior to that, she served as an exec at boutique PR firms Clein + White Public Relations and Marketing; Dennis Davidson & Associates; Andrea Jaffe & Associates and Clein + Feldman.
