Bryan Cranston, Alice Eve board ‘Winter’ indie

Tze Chun directs crime drama

Syncopated Films and Sasquatch Films have set up indie feature project “Eye of Winter” with Bryan Cranston, Alice Eve and Logan Marshall Green set to star.

Tze Chun is on board to direct and Ursula Parker and Leo Fitzpatrick have also joined the cast. Chun co-wrote the script with Osgood Perkins and Nick Simon.

The pic revolves around a struggling motel owner (Eve) who, along with her daughter, is taken hostage by a nearly blind career criminal (Cranston) to be his eyes as he attempts to retrieve his cash package from a crooked cop (Marshall-Green).

Mynette Louie of Syncopated Films and Trevor Sagan of Sasquatch Films are producing. Three Points Capital is financing the project. Scott Halle, Rick Rosenthal, Nick Morton and Jacob Pechenik will exec produce. UTA is handling distribution sales.

The WME-repped Chun helmed 2009’s “Children of Invention,” which preemed at Sundance and recently sold a spec pilot to the CW that Dan Jinks is producing.

Eve can be seen next in “Star Trek Into the Darkness” and “Breaking Bad” star Cranston co-stars in Warner Bros. “Argo.” Marshall-Green was last seen in Fox’s ‘Prometheus.”

Eve is repped by UTA and Untitled Entertainment and Cranston is repped by UTA. Marshall-Green is repped by CAA and 3 Arts. WME and Gramercy Park rep Chun. Gramercy Park also reps Perkins and Simon.
