Bruised not broken

'Underworld' preemed Thursday at Grauman's Chinese Theater

“She’s back!” enthused Clint Culpepper at Thursday’s preem of “Underworld Awakening.”

The Screen Gems topper singled out the “equally talented and pretty” star of the fourth franchise installment, Kate Beckinsale, who stood tall amid a packed Grauman’s Chinese Theater.

At the Rolling Stone Lounge after-party, Beckinsale enjoyed some privacy in the venue’s VIP section, where co-star Theo James also was seen milling around.

Beckinsale commented on the attention she gets from male fans, saying, “Every time a guy comes up to me and says, ‘Oh my God, I’m such a fan,’ I know he’s going to say for ‘Serendipity.’

“And that’s with all the effort I’ve made,” Beckinsale added, referring to her skin-tight wardrobe in the “Underworld” series.

Regarding her stunts, Beckinsale said she “didn’t break anything, just a few bruises.” But she did admit to worrying about the possibility: “It definitely crosses your mind.”
