Thesp to star in sex-addiction drama from helmer Billie Woodruff
Having already fended off flesh-eating zombies, “Resident Evil” star Boris Kodjoe is ready to tackle another challenging problem: sex addiction.
Kodjoe has signed on to the Lionsgate drama “Addicted.” Billie Woodruff is helming the pic, with Paul Hall producing.
Story follows a happily married woman with three kids who finds herself satisfying her addiction to sex by sleeping with other men. Charisse Nesbit will exec produce.
Pic was penned by Christina Welsh who adapted it from the tome by Zane.
“Addicted” is one of several films in recent years that have dealt with the subject of sex-aholics, notable Fox Searchlight’s “Shame” and Mark Ruffalo’s “Thank You For Sharing.”
Kodjoe, repped by Gersh and Untitled Entertainment, was most recently seen in “Resident Evil: Retribution.” Welsh is repped by APA.
