Teen comedy 'It's a Lot' is filming in London
LONDON — The first pic from Blighty’s Kaleidoscope Film Distribution and Scanner-Rhodes Prods.’ joint venture production company Mirror Image is teen comedy “It’s a Lot.”
Co-helmed and co-scripted by lead actor Femi Oyeniran, the supporting cast of young Brits includes Jazzie Zonzolo (“Anuvahood”), Red Madrell (“Kidulthood”), Jack Doolan (“Cemetery Junction”), Roxanne Pallet (U.K. soap “Emmerdale”) plus Eddie Kadi and Denise Welsh.
Darwood Grace will co-helm the coming-of-age film. Nick Walker co-scripted.
“It’s a Lot” is currently shooting on location in London and at the capital’s 3 Mills Studios.
Mirror Image bowed in August, taking advantage of the U.K.’s new tax incentive Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme, launched in April. This which offers the chance to invest up to £100,000 ($157,000) in a single tax year. Coin can be spread over a number of U.K. companies and receiving 50% tax relief in the tax year the investment is made.
The company will produce three to four $314,000-budget films per year, each guaranteed U.K. theatrical release and multi-platform international distribution and sales through Kaleidoscope.
