Bill Burr aboard Paul Feig comedy

Pic centers on cops played by Bullock, McCarthy

Bill Burr has joined the cast of Paul Feig’s female buddy cop project starring Sandra Bullock, Melissa McCarthy and Tony Hale.

Script by Katie Dippold centers on the strained working relationship between an uptight FBI agent (Bullock) and an unconventional Boston cop (McCarthy). Burr will play McCarthy’s brother, who is none too pleased to see her after she turns in their brother for selling drugs.

The untitled feature, produced by Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Dylan Clark for Fox, has begun filming in Boston.

Burr has a recurring role on “Breaking Bad” and recently completed shooting the feature “Stand Up Guys,” starring Al Pacino and Christopher Walken. Other credits include his short film “Cheat,” which he co-wrote, and “Date Night.”

Burr is repped by APA, 3 Arts Entertainment and Cohen & Gardner.
