Will voice Glinda in 3D animated feature

Bernadette Peters has joined the voice cast of Summertime Entertainment’s 3D animated feature “Dorothy of Oz” as Glinda.

Peters will also sing a duet on the film’s soundtrack with “Glee’s” Lea Michele, who will voice Dorothy in the pic.

The film also stars Martin Short as the Jester, Jim Belushi (Lion), Dan Aykroyd (Scarecrow), Kelsey Grammer (Tin Man), Megan Hilty (China Princess), Hugh Dancy (Marshal Mallow), Oliver Platt (Wiser the Owl) and Patrick Stewart (Tugg).

The film, which begins where L. Frank Baum’s “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” ends, continues Dorothy’s journey via the adventure books written by Baum’s great-grandson, Roger Stanton Baum.
