Bedlam taps Silvester as prod’n topper

Stella Nwimo joins producing team

LONDON Bedlam Prods., which produced “The King’s Speech” with See Saw Films, has appointed Olwyn Silvester to the new role of director of production and added Stella Nwimo to its producing team.

The hires are part of Bedlam’s plan to expand TV and film production in the U.K. and internationally.

Silvester joins the senior management team — CEO Gareth Unwin, m.d. Simon Egan and creative director Simon Breen. She was previously director of production for Atlantic Prods., where over five years she worked across all genres on 2D and 3D productions, most recently overseeing 3D natural history skein “Kingdom of Plants” and “First Life.”

Nwimo will take the lead on a number of Bedlam’s film and TV titles.

Bedlam’s recent productions include Eran Riklis’ “Zaytoun,” which world preemed at the Toronto Film Festival. Pic stars Stephen Dorff as an Israeli fighter pilot who bonds with a young Palestinian when he’s shot down over Lebanon.
